Sunday School
meets at 10am for Jr. and Sr. High.
Both meet at the end of the hall, past the nursery. Denise Bailey and Donald Meekins
hold down the fort with our Jr. High group!

Did you know, Malaria is a disease of the blood that is caused by a parasite transmitted from person to person by certain types of mosquitoes?
Malaria is particularly devastating in Africa, where it kills an African child every 30 seconds. Many children who survive an episode of severe malaria may suffer from learning impairments or brain damage.
Our Mission is simple: to end deaths due to malaria.
Why malaria? Why now?
Marlaria kills more than 3,000 children every day, and over 1 million evey year.
350 to 500 million cases of malaria occur annually
90% of deaths from malaria occur in Africa
Young children and pregnant women are most likely to become severely ill and die from malaria
Malaria was eradicated from the United States over 50 years ago, yet more than 40% of the world’s population is still at risk
We would like to invite you along to help us eradicate Marlaria in Africa. We are hosting a t-shirt designing contest. Design a shirt that promotes ending Malaria.
Drop off your design at First United Methodist Church of Bridgeport, or mail it to P .O Box 237, Bridgeport Texas 76426 on or before April 9, 2010.
We will announce the winner on April 11th. The winner will receive a $25 gift card and a shirt with his/her design on it.
April 25th is World Malaria Day
